Ways these Broncos together with the malleable QB can end the Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

We're in the sixth week in the football calendar and following last week's discussion regarding two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.
Striking during those contests were the number of penalties each conceded. Philadelphia did so at crucial times meaning they kind of beat themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period versus the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this weekend.
However it was positive to observe how Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to overcome that deficit and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the victory by four points.
The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year with cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are number one in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver won that contest.
They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They weren't necessarily sending more than four defenders but they might position two LBs in the interior then withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel off the edge.
At the start in the campaign, we said on a program how the Broncos might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished the previous year well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?
Recently acquired tight end their tight end has stepped up significantly while recent running back their rusher is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
I love that head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.
This demonstrates how Denver are a squad aiming to run first, because one can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in favourable situations.
This has helped quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, plus he is highly agile.
His strengths are his mobility, being able to throw on the run, and finding different arm angles to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver that layered pass across the middle and past defenders.
As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays great composure under pressure and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and can pass under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and remains very decisive.
If you consistently run the ball it eats up time and makes the defence to be in play extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defence must cover the field downfield side to side. This proves draining.
The quarterback has pushed back at Payton during games at times and I think the coach likes that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for the coach to have a rookie QB that is kind of like moldable clay. He can really build something up the way he desires to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
Payton has won a championship and has passed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having offensively is largely due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix aids make him into who he is.
There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to help you during some of the tougher situations and boost self-belief.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Because that was not a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.
Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are elite. They're working above average, that's a good place to hold the AFC West. The key to do is maintain this path.
They're really good at leaning into their forte, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they must do against the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, in essence.
New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad without a win a game.
Since the NFL began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss to Jacksonville.
Following the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run at leading the West.
It depends upon what version Kansas City shows up they meet since Denver {beat|def
