Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Life
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still that team's coach.
So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.
My son advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
