Actor Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Feature

Liam Neeson has provided his voice to a recent film that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccinations and commends ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Film's Provocative Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a popular book published by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, a producer, has also written books with far-right media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively recently posted praising Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for Neeson have issued a response pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vax beliefs.

"Many acknowledge that corruption might be present within the medical sector, but that must not be equated to opposition to vaccines," the response explains. "Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

It continued that the star did not shape the project's messaging and that questions about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Key Assertions Within the Film

In the film, the narration spoken by Neeson makes several strong statements:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have demanded "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "science has become highly politicized."
  • RFK Jr is shown stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The narration takes aim at stay-at-home orders, saying they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of the immunizations, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Ongoing Disputes

It includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a correction by the network for unbalanced reporting.

Recently, RFK Jr directed the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This assertion is also referenced in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO reiterating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Record of Advocacy

Contrasting the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's voice stating, "This is not the finish of our story. It is the start of a different phase."
